This Privacy Policy explains how Homeofy (a partnership firm), which owns and operates TalkForHer (talkforher.com) ("we", "us"), collects, uses, shares, and protects your information. It is intended to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP) and other applicable law. By using TalkForHer, you agree to this policy.
Who we are
TalkForHer is a platform where women can share how they live and feel over time. Our AI assists by organising your entries and surfacing patterns; it does not diagnose. Medical decisions are made by qualified doctors. The backend, authentication, AI runtime, and clinical records are provided by our affiliated application, FLOW.
Information we collect
- Account information — name, email, phone number, and authentication data.
- Health & lifestyle information you choose to share — your messages, journal entries (mood, food, feelings, symptoms, sleep, and similar), and related notes.
- Care records — consultations and prescriptions your doctor associates with your account.
- Usage & device data — basic analytics about how the site is used (collected only with your consent — see Cookies below).
- Payment information — processed by our payment gateway (Razorpay). We do not store your full card details.
How we use your information
- To provide the service and your personal "space".
- To let our AI organise your entries and surface patterns for you and your care team.
- To enable your doctor to review your story and provide care.
- To process your subscription and payments.
- To verify your identity (e.g., phone OTP) and keep your account secure.
- To communicate with you about your account and respond to requests.
- To comply with legal obligations.
How we share information
- Your doctor / clinic — the information needed to provide your care.
- Service providers (processors) — including the FLOW application (backend/AI), our payment gateway (Razorpay), SMS/OTP providers, hosting, and analytics. They process data on our behalf under appropriate safeguards.
- Legal & safety — where required by law, or to protect the safety of a person (for example, escalating a safety concern to your care team).
We do not sell your personal data.
AI processing
Our AI helps organise what you share and surface patterns. It is assistive only — it does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace your doctor. Content you share may be processed by AI systems operated by or on behalf of FLOW to provide these features.
Cookies & analytics
We use analytics (Google Analytics) to understand how the site is used. Analytics cookies load only after you accept them via our consent banner; if you decline, analytics storage stays disabled. You can change your choice by clearing site data in your browser.
Data retention
We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, meet legal and medical-record obligations, and resolve disputes. You may request deletion as described below.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to safeguard your data.
Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate another person to exercise your rights. To do so, contact our grievance officer (below).
Children
TalkForHer accounts are intended for adults (18+). Care for dependents, where offered, is managed by a consenting adult guardian.
